Northview Golf & Country Club - Ridge Course, Vancouver
Play the golf course the pro's played. Just 50 minutes east of Vancouver, Northview's Ridge course, was home of the Air Canada Championship for seven years, a PGA Tour event held in September. The course is always in great shape - 12 months a year.
The Ridge course is a risk taker's course with a drivable par four and four sets of tees. Pick this course if you're here to play golf.
The par five 18th hole typifies Arnold Palmer's playing style. Stretching 523 yards, with trees on the left and water and sand on the right demands accuracy. For your second shot either lay-up or take the shortcut over water and attack the green. This shot commands calm nerves and a firm stroke. It is nearly 200 yards of pure carry to a green that slopes back to the water.
