Although Arbutus Ridge Golf Course is a 45 minute drive from Victoria it is well worth the drive.
Known locally as "The Ridge", Arbutus Ridge Golf Course sets a high standard for Island golf. Boasting scenic views from most every hole, the golf course plays over undulating terrain with many dips and hollows.
Maintained in excellent condition, Arbutus Ridge is a year round golf course that only closes when the Island experiences snow (which is very rare).
The course's front 9 holes weave through a seaside village, while the back 9 climb a ridge overlooking Satellite Channel, and then descend into forested bench land. Together they measure in at 6208 yards with plenty of challenge for any golfer.
The signature hole for the course is the 17th - a very long par three (215 yards) made even more difficult thanks to its island green. For those not quite up to the task there is a bail out area on the right side of the water hazard.
